Electrical Service Engineer

Keenan Recruitment has been retained by a leading, award-winning smoke ventilation engineering company, that specialises in the Smoke Control industry, to recruit for a permanent, full-time Electrical Service Engineer to work within their smoke ventilation department. 

Established almost four decades ago, working with our client will give you invaluable experience and opportunity to work with some of the most ground breaking projects within Northern Ireland. Their clients include the Ulster University, Paper Exchange, Olympic House, Royal Victoria Hospital, CastleCourt Shopping Centre and Belfast City Quays, to name a few.

Starting salary: £29,500 - £32,500 dependant on experience. You will be based on the road between NI and ROI. 

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks on a day to day basis;

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
• Carrying out scheduled reactive maintenance on sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
• Responding to emergency call-outs for existing clients across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
• Working on new installations across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The Candidate:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual with an exceptional work ethic who can work both within a team and as an individual.

Our client will provide extensive training, where required.

Desired Criteria:

• Strong customer service skills
• Trouble-shooting abilities
• Competent written and verbal reporting skills
• Basic understanding of pneumatic controls
• Experience in smoke control or related discipline

Skills and Personal Qualities:

• Full, clean, driving licence holder (essential)
• CSR/ CSCS (Optional)
• IPAF (Optional)
• Electrical: 2 years experience (required)
• Electrical IET 18^th Edition
• PASMA (Optional)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual.
• Ability to record work accurately, both on work sheets and computer based systems.
• Willingness to undertake further training.
• Regards personal safety as priority.
